4-H Alberta Scholarships - Available for 4-H members in Alberta pursuing post-secondary education.

4-H Canada Scholarships - Available for 4-H members pursuing post-secondary education. Apply by May 31.

10 Words or Less Scholarship - Follow the instructions to apply for this $500 scholarship. Open to anyone 14-25 years of age who will be attending school in the fall.

Alex Schaap Memorial Scholarship - This $1000 scholarship is available to grade 12 students from Palliser schools planning to pursue post-secondary education in technology. Apply by June 1.

Alexander Rutherford Scholarship - If you have achieved at least 75% in 5 courses in grade 10, 11 and/or 12 you are eligible to receive up to $2,500. When you apply, you need to indicate the post-secondary institution you will be attending.  Applications open in August.

Bayer Fund Opportunity Scholarship - Available to Canadian high school students who are enrolled in their final year of high school. Students must be planning to enroll at a Canadian post-secondary institution in a first-year agriculture, food science, or culinary program. Successful applicants will each be awarded a scholarship valued at $1,500, based on demonstrated academic standards and leadership in the community. Apply by June 10.

Belcourt Brosseau Métis Awards - Support Métis Albertans with scholarships up to $10,000 each year for post-secondary education.

Burger King Scholars Program - Scholarships range from $1,000 to $50,000. Recipients are selected based on grades, work experience, extracurricular activities and/or community service. Apply by December 15.

Calgary Black Chambers Scholarships - Scholarships for black students who have graduated from a Calgary high school.  Bookmark this site to apply for scholarships during your university program.  Each scholarship has it's own details.

Calgary Foundation Awards - Scholarships for high school students in Calgary and surrounding areas.

Calvinism Awards - Awards are given annually for research papers on a topic dealing with John Calvin or Calvinism. Awards are payable to student tuition accounts at the following colleges: Calvin, Dordt, King's (Canada), redeemer (Canada) Kuyper, and Trinity Christian College. First prize - $3500, three (3) second place prizes - $2000.  

Canadian Mennonite University Photo/Video/Essay Contest - Win cash and tuition worth up to $500.  Open to grade 11 and 12 students.  Contest closes May 15.

Cover Guy Scholarship - Write an essay about hot tubs and win $1000 scholarship for trade school, college or university in Canada or the US.  Apply before June 30.

CPA Alberta (Chartered Professional Accountants) - Apply for scholarships ranging from $1,500-$2,500 before February 28.

DCCI Scholarship for Canadian Students with Disabilities - Apply for this $1000 scholarship if you have a physical or psychological disability.  

ERA $1million and $100K scholarships - Help the environment and win cash by collecting  approved electronic devices for recycling.

Honouring Spirit: Indigenous Student Awards - These awards recognize First Nations, Métis and Inuit students who model strength and commitment in the pursuit of their personal education path and embrace their own gifts, strengths and potential while celebrating the ways of their people.  Inquire about nomination with our school division Indigenous Success Coordinator 

Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarships - Up to $5,000 available for students with critical financial need and a strong commitment to pursuing a Bachelor's degree. Applications open in December and are due in March.  Applicants must be in grade 11.

Horatio Alger National Entrepreneurial Scholarship  - Up to $10,000 available to students with critical financial need ($65,000 or less net family income or extenuating circumstances) committed pursuing a bachelor's degree.  Applicants must be in grade 11 and must exhibit integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Applications open in December and are due in March.

Horatio Alger National Vocational & Technical Scholarship Program - Receive up to $3000 to pursue vocational and technical education. Apply by June 15.

Indigenous Careers Award - To encourage Indigenous peoples living in Alberta (First Nations, Métis and Inuit) to pursue and complete post-secondary studies in certificate, diploma, applied degree and bachelor’s degree programs.  $2,000 per term, and maximum of $4,000 per academic year

IODE Coronation Bursary - $1000 bursary based on extra-curricular involvement and financial need, not academic achievement. Apply by July 15. 

John Hasselfield Endowment Foundation Scholarship Program - Receive up to $400 to pursue your passions (note this scholarship does not support post-secondary education costs - it's for pursuing other passions and projects. See website for examples.)

Kinsman Canada Bursaries - $1000 bursaries available to students chosen on the basis of their community and school involvement, knowledge of Kin Canada and financial need. Apply by February 1.

Learn and Earn Scholarship - At connectFirst, we believe that supporting our communities and financial literacy are important parts of building a stronger Alberta for tomorrow.  ConnectFirst Credit Union awards scholarships to 12 lucky applicants that are in grade 12 and attending post-secondary the next year. Our scholarship winners will be involved in their local communities and have a passion for reaching their savings goals. They will participate in a monthly matching program, where they will have the potential to earn up to $2,520 in matched dollars to use towards their post-secondary education.  Eligible applicants can apply between November 20, 2023, and January 5, 2024, for their chance to win.

Lethbridge County Bursary - Two (2) $1000 bursaries available to county residents attending or have attended a high school within county limits. Only open to residents that are entering their first year of post-secondary. Apply by June 1.

Loans Canada Award - Win $750 by showing how your exceptional financial management efforts have made a positive impact in your life.  Deadlines April 30, July 30 and November 30.

Loran Scholars - This highly competitive scholarship includes an annual $9000 living stipend and tuition waiver is awarded to 30 Canadian students. Visit the website for details on the rigorous application process.

Marit McKenzie Fine Arts Scholarship - $1000 scholarships available to grade 12 Palliser students planning to study Fine Arts. Apply by June 1.

McDonald's Restaurants - McDonald's restaurants offers scholarships for employees. If you work at McDonald's, ask your manager for information on how to apply.

MindFuel Scholarships - Scholarships are now available to students who are graduating from an Alberta high school and are entering their first year in an undergraduate applied science or science education program at an Alberta-based post-secondary institution. Apply by May 15.

MyBlueprint - Use your MyBlueprint points (earned by completing tasks) to enter draws for scholarships.  (From your Dashboard, click "Tasks" and look for the Scholarships tab.)

Nelson Scholarship - Three (3) $5000 scholarships are available to students who are going the extra mile to make a difference in their community and have an average of over 75%. Apply by June 1. 

North American Van Lines 2022 Logistics Scholarship Competition - North American Van Lines is a large moving company and is looking to provide a scholarship to three students who major in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a similar field. Each scholarship is $1,000 and is available to current students and to those who are enrolling in college.

Northern Alberta Development Council – First Nations Metis and Inuit Bursary - The goal of this bursary is to assist First Nations, Métis and Inuit students to obtain the skills and knowledge to enter or re-enter the workforce in northern Alberta.  Students in pre-apprenticeship training, or in a certificate or diploma studies can access up to $6,000 for their studies.  Students in a Bachelor’s, Masters’ or PhD program can access $10,000 per year for any year of their studies. 

Optimist International Oratorical Contest - Write and present a four to five minute speech on the topic “Staying Optimistic in Challenging Times”. Open to any students under 19 years of age.  Click link for important details about the contest.  Entry forms accepted between Feb. 14-24, 2022.  

P2C-S NEXT Steps Scholarship - Multiple $1000 and $500 scholarships are available through Power to Change.  Applications will be evaluated in two categories: the applicant’s willingness to engage (1) in leadership and initiative and (2) in an exploration of the Christian faith, and how it might relate to their future studies. References will be used to substantiate the applicants. Check link for deadline.

RBC Scholarships - Hundreds of scholarships worth $500,000 available for students across Canada. 

RBC Future Launch Scholarship - Forget everything you know about scholarships.  This one is different.  Join a coding boot camp, learn French, enroll in a cosmetology course - You decide!  This scholarship could help you take your next step towards a better job.  This scholarships is for anyone from 15-29 who wants to learn something new.  Could $1,500 make you more future ready?  Apply by December 15.

RE/MAX of Western Canada Quest For Excellence - Sixteen (16) bursaries of $1000 are awarded to grade 12 students to recognize the success and ongoing pursuits of Western Canadian students in regards to leadership and community contribution initiatives.

Schulich Leader Scholarships - This highly competitive, prestigious award of $60,000 is given to forty (40) students across Canada attending a variety of universities.  Check the website for bios of past Schulich Leaders.  If you think you've got what it takes, follow the instructions on the application process page.

Senator Patrick Burns Legacy Scholarship - Four (4) $2500 scholarships are available to grade 12 students from Calgary who are experiencing financial challenges. Apply by March 26.

Shelagh Mikulak Memorial Scholarship in Library Sciences - To be awarded to a student in any year of study at a Canadian Post-secondary institution, enrolled in a Library Technician program, certificate program, undergraduate or graduate degree who demonstrates a passion for the library sciences field. Financial need also considered. Apply by June 1.

South Country Co-op Scholarship - $1000 scholarships available to students who are graduating from a school in South Country Co-op's trading area and whose families are members of South Country Co-op and spent a minimum of $3,500 in the current fiscal year.  Apply by May 31.

Stacey Levitt Memorial Award - The Levitt family will award the selected recipient $2,500 to ultimately live their life to the fullest. This can be accomplished through extension of education, engagement in sports and recreational activities, or investment into a travel experience. Apply by February 28.

Starbucks Tuition Reimbursement - If you're a Starbucks' employee, you might qualify for tuition reimbursement when you are at University. Log in at Life at Starbucks for more information.

Storwell Self Storage Foster Children Bursary Program - Storwell offers an annual bursary of $2,000 to support foster children as they pursue their post-secondary education and to help them as they progress into a new and exciting stage of their lives.

Stronks Feedlot Ltd. Scholarship - $2000 scholarship for students who are enrolling in an agriculture-related post-secondary institution. This scholarship is specifically aimed at supporting individuals under 25 years of age who have not had the advantage of coming from family farms.  Search "Stronks Scholarship" on Facebook for application details.

TD Scholarships for Community Leadership - If you're making a difference in your community, whether it's big or small, you could be one of 20 students to receive a full TD scholarship, worth up to $70,000.

TD Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples - Created to help meet the unique needs of students from the Indigenous community.  There are 25 scholarships available annually, each worth up to $60,000 over four years.

Ted Rogers Scholarship Fund for Indigenous Students - The Ted Rogers Scholarship through Indspire is for Canadian Indigenous students entering their first year of a post-secondary program in the fall of the upcoming school year.  It is a renewable award of $2,500 per year for students enrolled in a minimum two-year post-secondary program to a maximum of four years.  While enrolled in post-secondary students must maintain a full-time course load to receive the renewed support each year.

Terry Fox Humanitarian Award Program - Up to $7000 available to students who embody Terry Fox's dedication and selflessness in the face of adversity. Apply by February 1.

Theodore R. Campbell Scholarship - This scholarship recognizes the academic excellence of an Indigenous student enrolled in an education program at the University nuhelot’ine thaiyots’i nistameyimakanak Blue Quills in St. Paul, AB. The scholarship was established by the Theodore R. Campbell family through the Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund Endowment program.  $1500 value.

Tim Horton's Scholarships - If you are a Tim Horton's team member (regular full-time, part-time or year-over-year summer employee, or child/grandchild of an employee), you can apply for one of two hundred $1000 scholarships offered to Canadian students.

University of Calgary First Generation Scholars program provides financial support and wraparound services for students who are first in their family to access post-secondary education. The program includes a mentorship program, first-generation student network, specialized academic advising and eligible students will receive $2,500 towards their first year of tuition.  To qualify, students must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee whose parents, legal guardians, or chosen family guardians have never attended a post-secondary institution anywhere in the world.

University of Lethbridge Grade 11 Merit Award - If you attend the University of Lethbridge the year after you graduate (or after a gap year without studying at another post-secondary institution) you will receive this $1000 award. Apply by June 30 of your grade 11 year.

Vulcan County Agricultural Services Bursary - Two (2) $1,000.00 bursaries will be awarded annually and all students in Vulcan County pursuing agricultural or agricultural science studies are eligible to apply. Applications with all supporting documentations must be received by June 30.

Wizedemy $1000 Scholarship - Spend a few minutes applying for this cash scholarship to help with your transition to post-secondary life. Apply by June 30.

Youth Leadership Scholarship - Win $500 for this scholarship that encourages leadership and teamwork among students.  Apply by May 21.

ZEQR $1000 Scholarship - Write an article about online learning to compete for this $1000 scholarship.  Open to high school and university students. Apply by December 15.

Internal (Post-Secondary Institutions) Scholarships

Internal scholarships are applied for through the institutions awards portal. You can apply for internal scholarships once you have applied at a post-secondary institution.
