Build a Dream Career Discovery Expo
Time: 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
We are excited to announce that on Wednesday April 28th, 2021, we will be partnering with Build a Dream to host a virtual Career Discovery Expo for students!
Build a Dream, based in Windsor ON., aims to educate, inspire and empower female and female-identifying students to explore careers where women are under-represented, while also working to create a gender-balanced workforce. Build a Dream has 5 main pillars of interest, which include Skilled Trades, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math), Emergency Response, Entrepreneurship and Leadership.
A Career Discovery Expo is a 2-hour virtual event that targets young female and female-identifying students (Grades 7 -12 ) and their parents to help them with the career discovery journey. These events will provide informative speakers, information on employers in the region who work in the sectors noted above, pathway information (college and university) and other tools and resources so students and parents can continue the conversation throughout their high school journey.
The event will run from 6:00 - 8:30pm and can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home.
