Careers in Examinations and Inspections - SAIT online and in person demonstration

Time: 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm

What do you know about careers in Examinations and Inspections? As an inspector or examiner,
you would become a critical member of any construction or facility maintenance team, with
potential to enter a wide range of industries and specialties (including weld inspection, corrosion
inspection, in-field maintenance inspection, non-destructive testing, coatings inspection, etc.).

AMPP, AWS, IPEIA, and SAIT present: “Careers in Examination and Inspections: Online & In-Person Technical Demo & Panel Discussion”. 

Join us for a meeting in Calgary, or join us online to watch our technical demonstrations, followed by a panel discussion from industry inspectors and examiners.

When? 
Wednesday, May 8th, 2024
- 6:00pm: In-person attendees may enter, and watch the technical demos
- 6:30pm: Livestreaming begins, with online technical demos (in-person pizza & pop
dinner)
- 7:00pm: Panel discussion for in-person and online audience
- 8:00pm: Event wrap-up, live stream ends

Where? 
SAIT NDT Laboratory, 1301 16th Ave NW, Calgary (see map on pg. 2)

Who should attend?
High school students (including members of the RAP and Dual Credit programs), high school
teachers & counselors, educators, interested members of industry and post-secondary
students.

Ticket Sales:
- In-person tickets will be sold ($5) first-come-first-served (limited to 28 attendees –
sorry, absolutely no exceptions). Ticket sales will end on May 3rd (at 4pm).
- Registration for online attendance (free of charge) will end May 8th (at 4pm).
Attendees will be sent a streamlining link closer to the date of the event!

- Please note that any in-person attendees under the age of 18 will have to be accompanied

TV Producer - Career Exploration Session

Time: 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

A TVProducer is responsible for various aspects of television show productionoverseeing all features involved.  Responsibilities include set design,choreography, lighting, performances, cinematography, sound, editing and makingsure that compliance standards and deadlines are met. 

Ifyou are creative with great leadership and communication skills, bringing ideasto life as a TV Producer may be the career for you.
