To apply to one of the post-secondary institutions in Alberta you will create an account on Apply Alberta. In order to create an account you will need your Alberta Student Number (ASN) which can be found on MyPass.

To apply to most post-secondary institutions in BC you will use EducationPlannerBC. The site lists which schools use this application and has links to the application pages for any institutions that do not use EducationPlannerBC.
Apprenticeships
If you have decided to pursue a skilled trade and want to start the apprenticeship process, you can find detailed information, here.
Here, is a list of the entrance requirements.
To apply for an apprenticeship in Alberta you must first find an employer who is willing to take you on. The best way to find an employer if you do not already have one secured is to conduct a job search. You can search on online job boards, check business websites or call employers. Once you have secured a job placement, you can begin your application. To apply, you will need your Alberta Student Number which can be found on your transcript or MyPass. Once you and your employer have completed your application and you have been approved as an apprentice you can begin to count your hours.
Once you have begun your on-the-job training as an apprentice you can apply for the technical training component which is offered at post-secondary institutions. You can use myBlueprint or the links above to help you explore and compare different institutions that offer your chosen trade's training.
When you have completed both the on-the-job and technical training and have passed any required tests you will be awarded an Alberta Journeyman Certificate.
